Lord of HOSTS.  I've read and sung those words for years and today it hit me that I was unclear what this means.  So, Lord of people who give great parties?  "host" ~ that word, HOST, has a few different meanings.   In the Hebrew Bible, the name Yahweh and the title Elohim frequently occur with the word tzevaot or sabaoth ("hosts" or "armies", Hebrew: צבאות) as YHWH Elohe Tzevaot ("YHWH God of Hosts"), Elohe Tzevaot ("God of Hosts"), Adonai YHWH Tzevaot ("Lord YHWH of Hosts") or, most frequently, YHWH Tzevaot ("YHWH of Hosts").   hmmm...ARMIES/hosts.   The _________ of Hosts.  Elohim of...Elohe...Adonai...YHWH..
